1900 Yesterday (Liz Damon’s Orient Express cover)

I started recording a cover of this Hawaiian 60’s pop tune. Well, this is really just the first verse and chorus. I’m thinking about doing a bunch of breezy, fall-appropriate cover songs though.

My buddy Dave moved to Baltimore back in May and started sending me some demos. We started working on some recordings long distance and came up with this band. We have a few demos up on bandcamp now. Check it out.

i started coming up with a new idea this afternoon. i’m going to try and flesh this out and add some vocals or something. really want to work on a cassette for the fall.

“Dream”. This is a demo I did the other night/morning.

I can’t believe this demo is nearly 2 years old. I had just moved back into my parents house and was barely sleeping. Most of my ideas were coming and being recorded in the early hours of the morning. This song really captures the mood of what that time was like though and I really love re-listening to it.

I recorded this demo in January 2009 with my buddy Isaac. It’s called “Protect Your Head” and I randomly found this in my gmail sent mail folder. I totally forgot about this song, but really enjoyed revisiting it.

i hope to write and record lots of songs in 2011. so to end 2010, I’ll post a recent recording of a song I wrote in 2009.

I recorded this demo back in May of 2009, but I like it enough to reblog. I may even try and rework this tune.
